Malik, the Exiled Warden

Malik was unlike any other denizen of the inferno. In a realm where torment and malice were the order of the day, he showed compassion. His job was to oversee the myriad beasts and creatures that inhabited the abyss, and instead of subjecting them to further torment, Malik cared for them. Powers:

Fiendish Command: Malik has the ability to summon and command the creatures of the underworld. They follow his bidding, protecting him and attacking his foes.

Essence Absorption: In the heat of battle, if one of his creatures falls, Malik can absorb its essence, drawing upon its powers and making him stronger.

Resurrection Pact: Upon his demise, the pact he has with the creatures ensures that he is resurrected, drawing on their combined energies to bring him back to life.

Challenges:
While Malik's powers are formidable, his heart is constantly in conflict. The mortal realm is not kind to creatures of the inferno, and Malik often has to shield his charges from harm. His essence absorption power comes with a cost; every creature's essence he absorbs leaves a permanent mark on his soul, a reminder of the sacrifice made.
